The Brief

The Outing is Ireland’s Winter Pride Festival, a three-day celebration of LGBTQ+ culture, arts, and community, hosted annually in Ennis.

As the festival continued to develop, The Outing needed a website that could clearly present a diverse programme of events, support multiple ticket and accommodation options, and serve both new visitors and returning audiences.

The site also needed to act as a digital home for The Outing as a Queer Arts Collective, supporting year-round visibility and providing a clear, accessible entry point to the festival.

The Approach

We approached the website as a digital guide to the festival.

Clear navigation and structured content help visitors move easily between tickets, entertainment, schedules, and visitor information. Each section was designed to reflect The Outing’s visual identity while prioritising clarity and ease of use.

To support navigation and wayfinding across the site, we also designed a set of bespoke icons created specifically for The Outing Festival, reinforcing the festival’s identity while helping users quickly understand key content areas.

Calls-to-action were integrated throughout the site to allow users to enquire, book tickets, or plan their visit at any stage. A mobile-first approach ensured the experience works smoothly across all devices.
