The Brief

NYF Dublin, Ireland’s official New Year’s Festival, brings together concerts, fireworks, family events, and cultural moments across multiple Dublin locations, including Dublin Castle, Howth, and Dún Laoghaire. The goal was to design and develop a website that serves as the central hub for all festival activity:

  • Helping locals and visitors explore the full schedule.
  • Making it easy to plan their visit with Getting Here and Explore sections.
  • Offering instant access to artist details and ticketing through Ticketmaster.
  • Providing multilingual accessibility for international audiences.

The Approach

We designed nyfdublin.ie as a vibrant, intuitive event platform that reflects the excitement and inclusivity of Dublin’s New Year celebrations.

  • Festival-first navigation: Clear level structure (Schedule, Getting Here, Explore, Media) ensures visitors can find what they need, from travel information to event line-ups,  in just one or two clicks.
  • Complete event schedule: A fully dynamic programme where users can explore each day, from the Countdown Concert to Fireworks in Dún Laoghaire and Howth, and the Free Family Day at Dublin Castle.
  • Artist & event detail pages: Each performance includes imagery, descriptions, and CTA links to Ticketmaster for fast booking.
  • Explore Dublin, Howth & Dún Laoghaire: Dedicated location pages showcase each area’s highlights, giving visitors options for dining, culture, and leisure between events.
  • Getting Here: Practical transport information helps audiences plan their journey, whether by public transport or on foot.
  • Media Hub: A central space for press releases and downloadable media kits for journalists and partners.
  • Multilingual accessibility: Content is available in ten languages to welcome audiences from around the world.
  • Consistent branding: The NYF Dublin design system combines bold colours, geometric patterns, and vivid photography to capture the atmosphere of celebration across every page.
